Privacy Policy

This is core to how SportsBlitz is built. Accounts are for adults only (18+). We do not create accounts for children, store learner names, or hold any personal information about minors. Teams are recorded as age-group labels (for example “U14A”), never as rosters of named children. Scores are team totals (for example 19–12), not individual player data.

Our Information Officer is the founder of SportsBlitz. For any privacy request — access, correction, or deletion — contact rizaan@gmail.com.

• Your email address and display name (from Google sign-in or a magic-link email).
• An optional profile photo you choose to upload.
• The associations, teams and sports you follow.
• Match results you submit and match-day photos you upload.
• Your points and leaderboard standing.
• If you enable notifications, the technical push subscription needed to deliver them.
• Basic, aggregated usage analytics (such as page views) to improve the service.

We process this information to operate the service you signed up for — letting you follow teams, post and confirm scores, and receive result alerts — on the basis of your consent and our legitimate interest in running a community results platform.

Under POPIA you may ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and you may withdraw consent at any time. Email the Information Officer at rizaan@gmail.com and we will action your request promptly.

Match-day photos are uploaded by users. Only upload images you have the right to share. If a photo should not be online — for example it identifies a child without consent — you can report it from within the app, or email rizaan@gmail.com, and we will remove it promptly. We use trusted service providers to run SportsBlitz — including Supabase (database and authentication) and Vercel (hosting and analytics). They process data on our behalf and some processing may occur outside South Africa under appropriate safeguards. We do not sell your personal information.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal information, subject to any records we must keep by law.

We may update this policy as the service evolves. We will revise the “last updated” date above when we do.
